Warnings to Netanyahu? evidence of foreknowledge - or bait to mislead the skeptics?

WAS ISRAEL NOTIFIED BEFORE BLASTS? (thanks to Progressive Review for this link)

STRATFOR - There has been massive confusion over a denial made by the Israelis that the Scotland Yard had warned the Israeli Embassy in London of possible terrorist attacks "minutes before" the first bomb went off July 7. Israel warned London of the attacks a "couple of days ago," but British authorities failed to respond accordingly to deter the attacks, according to an unconfirmed rumor circulating in intelligence circles.

While Israel is keeping quiet for the time-being, British Prime Minister Tony Blair soon will be facing the heat for his failure to take action. The Associated Press reported July 7 that an anonymous source in the Israeli Foreign Ministry said Scotland Yard had warned the Israeli Embassy in London of possible terrorist attacks in the U.K. capital. The information reportedly was passed to the embassy minutes before the first bomb struck at 0851 London time. The Israeli Embassy promptly ordered Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to remain in his hotel on the morning of July 7. Netanyahu was scheduled to participate in an Israeli Investment Forum Conference at the Grand Eastern Hotel, located next to the Liverpool Street Tube station -- the first target in the series of bombings that hit London on July 7.

Several hours later, Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom officially denied reports that Scotland Yard passed any information to Israel regarding the bombings, and British police denied they had any advanced warning of the attacks. The British authorities similarly denied that any information exchange had occurred.

Contrary to original claims that Israel was warned "minutes before" the first attack, unconfirmed rumors in intelligence circles indicate that the Israeli government actually warned London of the attacks "a couple of days" previous. Israel has apparently given other warnings about possible attacks that turned out to be aborted operations. The British government did not want to disrupt the G-8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland, or call off visits by foreign dignitaries to London, hoping this would be another false alarm.

The British government sat on this information for days and failed to respond. Though the Israeli government is playing along publicly, it may not stay quiet for long. This is sure to apply pressure on Blair very soon for his failure to deter this major terrorist attack.

ISRAEL NATIONAL NEWS SERVICE - Army Radio quoting unconfirmed reliable sources reported a short time ago that Scotland Yard had intelligence warnings of the attacks a short time before they occurred. The Israeli Embassy in London was notified in advance, resulting in Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remaining in his hotel room rather than make his way to the hotel adjacent to the site of the first explosion, a Liverpool Street train station, where he was to address and economic summit.

Giuliani in London

It might be a coincidence that Rudy Giuliani was in London when 7/7 happened. The best description of Giuliani's involvement in 9/11 is in Michael Ruppert's book "Crossing the Rubicon."

Giuliani says attack echoes 9/11
Mr Giuliani said people must stand up to terrorism

The Mayor of New York during the 9/11 attacks, Rudolph Giuliani, has spoken of the "eerie" experience of being in London near one of Thursday's blasts.

Giuliani brings New York message to region
William Green
Political Correspondent
TONY Blair was yesterday credited with helping curb terrorism by former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani who became famous for his leadership following the September 11 attacks.
Speaking in Yorkshire, Mr Giuliani said he had a lot of respect for the Prime Minister and US President George Bush for sticking to a tough line on terrorism – even when it became unpopular.
He said the world had allowed terrorists to "get out of control" by failing to take the problem seriously enough over 30 years, with those responsible allowed to get away.
Mr Giuliani said terrorists were too often released in the past by governments because they were afraid of them, comparing it to the mistakes made in the 1930s over Hitler.
But New York's ex-mayor, who was in charge when the city's Twin Towers were attacked in 2001, said that Mr Blair and Mr Bush were now leading an effective fight against the terrorists.
"I think their determined response to it, against public opinion very often, has helped keep us safe and I think if they had been more typical of some of our politicians, they would have shifted because of public opinion
which would have been disastrous."
He added: "I have great respect for their setting a very determined policy as regard to terrorism, sticking with it when it became unpopular and I credit the fact we have been able to reduce terrorism to what they have done."
Mr Giuliani spoke out about the battle against terrorism and his admiration for Mr Blair in a speech about leadership to UK councillors at the Local Government Association conference in Harrogate.
He said effective and optimistic leadership was vital to improving people's lives, saying: "If the captain of a ship doesn't have a direction, then it doesn't go anywhere."
But the US politician stressed that leadership had to be backed up by a clear set of ideas, a programme to deliver those goals and accountability via clear measurements of success.
Using the example of New York, Mr Giuliani told the conference that the city had been transformed under his leadership using these methods with crime being cut by 65 per cent, the economy growing and thousands being taken off welfare benefit.
But tackling smaller issues was also important to ensure more serious problems were contained, and he used the example of how he took so-called "squeegy" operators off his city's streets.
Those people cleaned car windscreens in the road and expected money in return, even if the motorist didn't want the service, and the problem was getting out of hand in New York.
Mr Giuliani tackled the problem by giving them summonses for jay-walking, and in the process discovered that half were wanted for other crimes.
Delegates at the conference responded warmly to Mr Giuliani's speech, giving him a standing ovation after he finished answering questions from the audience.

UK-based dissident denies link to website that carried al-Qaida claim
David Pallister
Saturday July 9, 2005
The Guardian

The claim of responsibility for the London attacks was first posted on one of the dozens of Islamic websites that are routinely monitored by western intelligence services.
The statement, under the name of the Secret Organisation of the al-Qaida Jihad in Europe, said: "The heroic mujahideen have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern and western quarters."It was posted on an Arabic website,, which is registered by Qalaah Qalaah in Abu Dhabi and hosted by a server in Houston, Texas. ....

The server in Houston has intriguing connections. Everyone's Internet was founded by brothers Robert and Roy Marsh in 1998 and by 2002 had an income of more than $30m (now about GBP17m).
Renowned for his charitable work, Roy Marsh counts among his friends President George Bush's former sister-in-law, Sharon Bush, and the president's navy secretary.

Terrorism Exercise on 7/7 at the same time as the real events?

Alex Jones, who runs an internet radio show called "Infowars," ran an article shortly after the 7/7 atrocity claiming that a simultaneous "exercise" was underway in the London Underground that was used to mask the real events - similar to the multiple, overlapping war game exercises that were used on 9/11 to confuse the air defenses. However, there are several problems with this story.

On 9/11 there were multiple war games – at least 5 and as many as 7 – that were conflicting and leaving the US wide open for the exact planes as weapons scenarios they had received intelligence about throughout the summer of 2001. It was a smoke screen to divert the fighter jocks.
In London it appears to have been 1 drill. And as of right now there is no evidence that this drill caused any problems to stop first responders from doing their job.
This could go either way.
I am not saying this is nothing to be concerned with. But I am saying it is not certain to be an inside job due to this one drill.
Perhaps it was an inside job.
As I said earlier at my blog, I am not going to spend time investigating this because either way – whether its guerrilla warfare or false flag – the result is the same.
peace eternal

UK Plans Iraq Troop Withdrawal :.
The Ministry of Defence has drafted plans for a significant withdrawal of British troops from Iraq over the next 18 months and a big deployment to Afghanistan, the Financial Times has learnt.
In what would represent the biggest operational shake-up involving the armed forces since the Iraq war, the first stage of a run-down in military operations is likely to take place this autumn with a handover of security to Iraqis in at least two southern provinces.

Sex, Drugs, Mind Control, and Gitmo :.
Many of the revelations in the New Yorker article ("The Experiment," by Jane Mayer, July 11 & 18, 2005 -- not yet available online, but here's an interview with the author) are familiar, but there are hints of techniques that mirror the most horrific (and mostly ignored) abuses at Abu Ghraib and the historical accounts of government-sponsored mind control. Baher Azmy, a professor at Seton Hall Law School who is representing one detainee states in the article, "The whole place appears to be one giant human experiment."
The people behind these psychological abuses and experiments are known as Behavioral Science Consultation Teams, or BSCTs (commonly called "biscuits"). Originally, BSCTs served as therapists and dispensed psychotropic drugs to soldiers, and evaluated their combat readiness. Post 9/11, however, their mission was altered -- instead of helping soldiers, their talents were turned to interrogation and psychological torture under the umbrella of military intelligence.

London Calling: Another 9/11?
B07311 / Sat, 9 Jul 2005 05:12:47 / "War on Terror"
by Michael Kane

Is this another 9/11?
Was it an inside job?
My first reaction is regardless of whether or not this attack was an inside job as 9/11 was, the effect is the same. I tip my hat in advance to those who choose to investigate this in a calm, sober, rational way based on the facts that emerge, but I will not be investigating this myself.
My heart goes out to London, to the victims and their family. I was 15 miles from the World Trade Center on 9/11 on a college campus. I remember seeing more than one young woman in tears trying to hold it together long enough to place a call to find out if their father was dead.
By spending thousands of hours investigating 9/11, making phone calls, writing reports, going to Washington D.C., confronting military generals, I have learned that such investigations do little-to-nothing to change the body politic.
Question: Who benefits most from this attack on London civilians?
Answer: Bush & Blair
But, as Mike Ruppert wrote yesterday:

"We cannot rule out the possibility that these were actual terrorist attacks. Lord knows, the US has made enough enemies in the last four years."

From my standpoint, regardless of the intent of the perps behind this and what their true identities are, the political landscape of importance remains the same.

Civil liberties and the Constitution are under steady attack
A London-style attack is assumed by top military brass to be happening soon in the US – perhaps nuclear
World War III is being planned as we speak
China and Russia now have a strong allegiance against the U.S.
Wall St. is scrambling to finance renewable energy projects (my report is forthcoming on this at FTW – Renewable Energy Finance Forum, Wall St”)
US officials such as Steve Westly (controller of California) are saying to look to China for renewable energy investment and development opportunities
Gas is approaching $3 in the US: $5 not far away
The 2005 numbers on oil are bleak. Demand is about to outstrip supply. A massive recession, and perhaps depression, is looming
Peak Oil is the biggest scientific news story in the world outside of global warming yet nothing is being done about it. Kyoto now comes into effect to at least somewhat address global warming. What is the plan for peak?
2005 looks like the year when world oil production peaks
Unless over consumption is addressed and massive conservation efforts begin the human race is doomed

From my vantage point, there is no time to investigate the perps behind the London attacks. Whoever it was, they can pat themselves on the back for helping their buddies Bush & Blair.
I will close with a summary of former Special Forces Master Sergeant Stan Goff’s recent masterpiece THE GLOBAL BATTLEFIELD The summary was written by my dear friend and colleague Dr. Jamey Hecht:

Synposis by Jamey Hecht
[In “The Global Battlefield,” Stan Goff establishes:
That a Pentagon strategic document called Strategy for Homeland Defense and Civil Support, published just one week ago (June 30, 2005), grants extraordinary domestic law enforcement powers to the President and to the Secretary of Defense;
That these powers depend upon the continuous “state of war” in effect since 9/14/01 which the Congress is legally empowered to suspend – and legally required to re-assess every six months – but Congress remains “afraid” to do so. Some members may be financially interested in said “state of war”; others fail to oppose it because they fear political reprisals; still others because they remember the anthrax letters and the Wellstone assassination;
That this “state of war” serves as the warrant for applying post-9/11 judicial precedents that abrogate civil rights including habeas corpus, resulting in a state of partial, selective, de facto martial law;
That in addition to its already-manifest potential for abuse against selected targets like American activists, journalists, and political opponents, this dubious new policy infrastructure authorizes a huge escalation of the domestic military-police state, to be undertaken in apparent response to putative terror attacks on U.S. soil;
That during the week of the S.H.D.C.S. policy document’s release, high military officials leaked an anonymous statement to the press saying that the U.S. military may no longer be capable of fighting two major wars at one time – undermining the entire Rumsfeld vision, of which the S.H.D.C.S. is the latest installment.
It is too early to tell whether the London attacks were false-flag terrorism advanced by the British and / or American administrations for their own purposes [perhaps including the eventual use of the powers in S.H.D.C.S., or their equivalent in post-7/7 British policy], or asymmetrical warfare (i.e., terrorism) perpetrated by aggrieved victims of the Bush-Blair wars on Iraq and Afghanistan. In either case, the effects seems to be the same. The bombings divert attention from ongoing crises like the Rove-Plame affair; China’s use of its current-account surplus as leverage for buying Unocal; the general disaster of the Iraq war; recent calls by over one hundred Parliamentarians of the U.S.-backed Iraqi government urging the withdrawal of U.S. troops; and an equally embarrassing new military training and support pact between this same Iraqi government and the Iranian state which the Bush-Blair group seems intent upon attacking. Finally, the London bombings upstaged the record oil price of $62.10 which immediately preceded them, and they caused investors to anticipate demand destruction, which dropped the price back down. Quite apart from the actual price, the bombings also re-imbued the world’s energy issues with deeply irrational emotions of revenge and horror that might prevent civilians from reaching their own more rational conclusions as to the causes of high energy prices – and the underlying dangers posed by what more and more people recognize as Peak Oil. -JAH]

Right Wing False Flag?
by Max Kolskegg

Good article on 9/11 that compares it to "false flag" terror perpetrated by fascists in Italy, most notoriously the bombing of the Bologna train station in 1980 (which was blamed on the Communists but they were not the perpetrators). This ugliness was euphemistically called (by the perpetrators) the "strategy of tension."
